The video Theresa Cutts and I made exhibiting the real life locations that inspired Anne Droyd and Century Lodge is now online.
The wastelands are in Mosley Common/Tyledsley, and the railway embankments and den are in Walkden - both areas are in Greater Manchester. Century Lodge and mill are in New Bury, Farnworth, Bolton.
All budding writers take note: Anything and anywhere can be turned into a story!

Hi Will. Thanks for the letting us know about this video. I really enjoyed seeing some of the areas where you got the inspiration for the first book. I think you'd make a great tv presenter.
Glad it turned out so well Will, can't wait until we do the same for House of Shadows in Whitby!
